OTHER EVENTS ARE AS FOLLOWS:
Engagement Party
An informal engagement party was held on Saturday, March 23 following Jed's closing reception at Space 36 art gallery in Chatham.
All those attending Jed's sculpture exhibit were invited to come back to the house for some light snacks and heavy beverages.
The party itself turned out to be a very quiet affair with about a dozen attending. The roll call is as follows: Sherri
and Barry -- the life of any party; Jeff and Laurie and Tierney -- always entertaining and a font of musical knowledge; Pat,
Lynn and Maureen -- who brought with them the remains of their hit-and-run mailbox and later a mechanical sheep; there was
a cameo appearance by the brothers Pelletier (Matt and Andy of College Farm fame -- Thanks guys for making the trip out from
V.Ville, we shore like the way you play); Abbie from the southland, great to see her ... and as beautiful as ever, we might
add; Mike and Diane, who are probably still scratching their heads about the renovations of the barn; and Paul from the land
between Chatham and Ghent, who is probably still laughing at the schedule for reconstruction. (We missed Tammy, his wife,
however. She is in toddler hell). Those not in attendance, don't worry, you were gossiped about profusely.
Rehearsal Dinner
The formal rehearsal dinner will be at 7 p.m. on Friday, September 27 at The Carolina House, 59 Broad Street (Route 9) in
Kinderhook. The restaurant is within walking distance of the reception location and several Kinderhook inns. For more information,
e-mail Siobhan or call Lynn or Pat Connally at 518.766.3610.
Simultaneously, we will also offer an informal dinner of pizza for those of you arriving Friday, who wish to work on the
reception area or just sit around an enjoy each other's company instead of moping around your hotel room. There will be lots
of pizza, beer and, -- in all likelyhood -- things to do.
Re: Gifting
We agonized for what seemed like whole minutes over what to do about registering for gifts. Sage advice from everyone we know
agreed that we had better sign up somewhere or we could expect to receive tons of useless junk nobody in their right minds
would want. Of course, we think getting a bunch of useless junk would be right up our alley. In fact, anything that comes
from your hearts, even if it has polka-dots and sings, would be a blessing. No store brand needed.
But as a courtesy for those who would like convenience of a store, we've registered online at www.potterybarn.com and
at www.crateandbarrel.com
Another great gift idea. ...
Since we expect the renovation process to be such a bear, we would love to have any help and expertise in home repair
you could spare ... anything from sheetrocking to painting would be GREATLY appreciated. Even Home Depot gift cards would
be wonderful.
We would also like to give you the option to donate to a charity that is close to Siobhan's heart -- The Sudden Arrhythmia
Death Syndromes Foundation, 508 E. South Temple, Suite #20, Salt Lake City, Utah 84102. 1-800-786-7723. sads@sads.org

A September 28 wedding is planned.

He is currently a talk show host in Madrid.
Bachelor Party
Derek Walker, who has seen Jed through many-a-rites-of-passage, has selflessly agreed to be the Best Man for his wedding.
What a trooper. Even the thankless job of providing some sort of revelry for the bachelor party is a task he's agreed to do
with the utmost of taste and decorum.
"Hey, where are the nudie bars out there?"
The plans have been made for a weekend in the Adirondacks at Chris Kobuskie's camp Friday, Sept 13 through Sunday, Sept.
15. For more information, call (603)433-5376 or email
Siobhan is looking for a date that weekend, so if anyone would like to hang out with her she's open to suggestions. Call 518-758-6277.
Bridal Shower
The woo-hoo club hosted a fun and festive surprise bridal shower at Indian Ladder Farms on Sunday, August 18 for Siobhan.
There were lots of good friends, good food and good fun. And, thankfully, no silly games or weird hats made of bows.
